Art exists to make us feel, to see the world in a fresh way, through the spiritual side of ourselves. I feel that color opens a door to the soul and can trigger emotional awakening.
Joan lives in Miami, Florida and the Berkshires. She grew up in Philadelphia where she took classes at the Graphic Sketch Club and graduated from the University of Pennsylvania. She studied art at Tyler Art School, IS183 in Stockbridge, University of Miami, and Miami Dade College. She is a current member of the Guild of Berkshire Artists.
Her work is in private collections all over the US, including those of Audra McDonald and Seiji Ozawa.
